We encourage you to speak out and let your fellow Virginians know how important it is to vote Democrat in November. Please take the time to draft a letter to your local newspaper. Writing tips: 2.) Write in your own words. If you simply copy and paste the facts we’ve provided, editors are much less likely to print your letter. 3.) Target your letters to local or regional papers. 4.) Be polite. Your point comes through more clearly, and you’re more likely to get a letter printed that is respectful of the newspaper and the community. 5.) Personalize your letter to reflect your experiences. An obviously personal letter will always have a good chance of being published. 6.) You must include your real name, address (street address, not e-mail address) and daytime telephone number. The newspaper staff willmay call and verify that you are the author. |
