INTRODUCING THE MESSAGE SQUAD!

 What is the Message Squad? It’s the action-oriented team of engaged bloggers, Party committee members, activists, and people on the ground who will help the Democratic Party of Virginia spread our message of “getting things done” across the Commonwealth. The goal is to have a group of people who are ready at a moment’s notice to respond to and influence news coverage, blog coverage and the myriad of lies and half-truths we’re bound to see this election year!

 
We’re calling this team the Message Squad quite intentionally; “squad” implies the sense of rapid response and strategy in which this group will be engaged! In order to make sure the political debate takes place on our ground and on our terms, the DPVA Message Squad will be the vehicle through which we get out letters to the editor, radio show call-ins, blog posts, and other creative, coordinated activities.

 If you’re on the Message Squad, you’ll get regular updates from TRUTH memos to talking points. When there’s coverage in Virginia we want to influence, the DPVA Communications Team will send alerts to Squad members with a specific request for getting the message out. In addition, we’ll ask you to share with us what’s working, what’s not, what’s happening on the ground, and ideas for refining and spreading our message.
