The Leadership Virginia Award

will be presented to

Dr. William Ferguson Reid

Co-founded the Richmond Crusade for Voters in 1956 to register and mobilize black voters during Massive Resistance. In 1968, he became the first black member of the Virginia General Assembly since Reconstruction.

A second LVA Award will be presented to Pat Lightfoot for her determination and dedication to the success of DBCVa.
