Caucus of interested Democrats of Northumberland County to elect four (4) delegates and two (2) alternates to the First Congressional District Democratic Convention on May 8th in the Fredericksburg area. The Caucus will be held at the County Library in Heathsville on Thursday, March 25th, Doors will open to participants at 5:00 P.M. and be locked at 6:00 P.M.. The caucus will be conducted in accordance with the rules of The State Plan. Candidates for the positions above must pre-file for such election by either writing to or call ing Richard Saxer, County Democratic Chairman at P.O. Box 53 Reedville, Va. 22539 or 453-3156. Pre-filing forms must be returned to the Chairman by 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 23rd either by mail or by hand to 308 Reed Avenue, Reedville. A voluntary fee of $10.00, to help defray the costs of the Convention, should accompany the form. Slates of candidates may also file on the same form. The Caucus will be cancelled if the number of pre-filers is equal to, or less than, the number to be elected. Pre-filers will be notified of such action.
