The Norfolk City Democratic Committee will hold an unassembled reorganization caucus on Saturday, December 8, 2007, 10 AM - 1 PM at Norview High School, 6501 Chesapeake Blvd., Norfolk Va 23513 for the purpose of electing Democratic precinct captains for the 2008-2009 term. Any person wishing to participate in the caucus must be a registered voter in the City of Norfolk.

All interested candidates must pre-file with the Committee. A candidate must be a registered voter in the precinct for which he or she is seeking election. If only one candidate has pre-filed properly on time in a given precinct, that person shall be elected. If there is no precinct in which two or more candidates pre-file properly on time, the Committee shall cancel the caucus. All candidates must prefile by 5:00 pm, Saturday, December 1, 2007 by mail or person with Diane Kaufman, 1016 Harrington Ave., Norfolk, VA 23509. Filings will included a completed filing form and a filing fee of $10 payable in cash or by check to "NCDC". The filing fee may be waived for financial hardship.
