PAINT THE VALLEY BLUE! (Candidate Event)
PAINT THE VALLEY BLUE! Festival of Music, Barbecue, and Politics Saturday, August 16 starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Frontier Culture Museum, I-81 at U.S. 250, Staunton. Featured guests are Governor Mark Warner, candidate for U.S. Senate; Sam Rasoul, Sixth District candidate for Congress; state Senator Creigh Deeds; Lavar Stoney, executive director of the VA Democratic Party. Tickets $35/$20 students, includes beef barbecue dinner, music by Barbara Martin and Friends and Mark McCray, and dancing to the music of Rhythm Road. Ticket deadline August 11.
