Sen. Webb gives state campaigns a boost
Posted by Greg on Wednesday, September 05
As pointed out by Raising Kaine, The Politico profiles the fundraising prowess of Senate freshmen this week. Guess who's leading the pack?
The standout, at this point, is Sen. Jim Webb (D-Va.). He took in more than a third of the total cash raised by the class. Perhaps more interestingly, he went entirely local on his contributions, spreading $19,500 among 17 Virginia Senate and Delegate candidates in a bid to flip control of the General Assembly to Democrats.
Here's the rundown, courtesy of Lowell:
- Petersen for State Senate
- McEachin for State Senate
- Mathieson for Delegate
- Tomer for Delegate
- Friends of Paula Miller
- Tyler for Delegate
- Northam for Senate
- Reynolds for Senate
- Colgan for Senate
- Puckett for Senate
- Shuler for Delegate
- Del Toro for Delegate
- Friends of Albert Pollard
- Bouchard for Delegate
- Elect Roemmelt
- Janet Olesezk for State Senate
- Ferguson for Delegate
Great job, Sen. Webb!
