ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS!

WITH DICK CHENEY AS THEIR GUIDE, VIRGINIA REPUBLICAN LEADERS DEMONSTRATE THEIR LOYALTY TO BUSH ADMINISTRATION POLICIES AND PARTY OVER THE INTERESTS OF WORKING FAMILIES

Richmond- Tonight, the Republican Party of Virginia will proudly parade about with Vice President Dick Cheney as their keynote speaker at the Commonwealth Gala during the 2008 Virginia Republican State Convention.

Since Cheney is the architect of the Bush agenda that has provided so little progress for working families, it's really no surprise that he would be the policy guide for the party that is determined to turn back the clock on the progress we have made here in Virginia.

At the dinner, Vice President Cheney will join:

  • US Senate candidate and former Governor Jim Gilmore, who left the Commonwealth in financial shambles,
  • US Senate candidate, Del. Bob Marshall, a legislative gadfly whose lastest crusade would allow concealed weapons onto school campuses,
  • Attorney General Bob McDonnell and Lt. Governor Bill Bolling, neither of whom has any plan for how we fix Virginia's transportation problems but have plenty of criticism for Gov. Tim Kaine's efforts to find a solution,
  • And Sen. Ken Cuccinelli, who is more interested in what happens in Virginians' bedrooms than what happens on their highways.

Each of these unabashed members of the extremist, out of touch, far right-wing, from Cheney to Cuccinelli, have continually and consistently used their positions of power to put their party before progress, and partisan rhetoric before the people.

When our nation and our Commonwealth have needed practical solutions, each of these Republicans have opposed progress at every level.
