Democratic Party of Virginia Delegate Allocation

DEMOCRATIC PARTY OF VIRGINIA DELEGATE ALLOCATION

Richmond- As of Thursday, February 14, 2008, the Democratic Party of Virginia has counted 54 pledged delegates for Sen. Barack Obama and 29 pledged delegates for Sen. Hillary Clinton. You can view the delegate allocation by Congressional Districts here.

Please be advised that these are NOT official until the State Board of Elections actually certifies Tuesday's votes.

In May 2008, 54 delegates (and 11 alternates) will be elected at Congressional District Conventions. An additional 18 at large delegates, 11 party leader and elected official delegates (plus three alternates), and two unpledged add-on delegates will be elected at the Virginia State Democratic Convention in June 2008.

The Democratic Party of Virginia state convention is scheduled for June 14, 2008 at the Hampton Roads Convention Center in Hampton. The National Democratic Convention is scheduled for August 25-28, 2008 in Denver, Colorado.
