Cuccinelli and Bush: On the Rocks

Posted by Greg on Tuesday, July 31

Alas, poor Sen. Ken Cuccinelli has come a long way from his days drumming up support for President Bush at the 2004 Republican National Convention (apparently, the GOP’s “national Catholic strategy [was] modeled after his narrow 2002 victory” [The Washington Times, 9/3/04]).

But in the June 4 edition of the “Cuccinelli Compass,” an occasional bulletin of the Senator’s random musings, Cuccinelli declared that he no longer considered President Bush the head of the Republican party due to his “wrong” immigration plan. [The Washington Times, 6/5/07]

So can we assume that Sen. Cuccinelli will be rejecting any money from the Republican Party of Virginia, which raised $600,000 from a Bush fundraiser in May?
