Cranwell on Warner's Keynote: 'America Needs More Common-Sense Leaders like Warner'

RICHMOND - Democratic Party of Virginia Chairman Dick Cranwell released the following statement Wednesday on the announcement of Gov. Mark Warner as Democratic National Convention keynote speaker:

"Here in Virginia, Democrats have shown we know how to lead and we know how to govern. The selection of Governor Warner as a convention speaker reflects his success in delivering results and creating jobs for families across Virginia.

"Every day, Virginians can see evidence of Mark Warner and Tim Kaine's leadership in creating jobs, managing responsibly, and growing our economy. America needs more common-sense leaders like Mark Warner and Barack Obama, who are willing to roll up their sleeves and work across-the-aisle to get things done."
