Chairman Cranwell Statement on Earth Day

Democratic Party of Virginia Chairman C. Richard Cranwell issued the following statement in honor of Earth Day:

"Today, and throughout the rest of the week, people all over the world will be celebrating our environment and bringing attention to our need to protect it."

"As Virginians, we are fortunate to have the ocean at one end of the state, mountains at the other, and beautiful rivers and streams in between. As Democrats, we understand that we have a moral obligation to be stewards of this good earth, so that generations to follow can enjoy it."

"Democrats have led on this issue and will continue to push for bipartisan efforts for sound and progressive environmental policies at both the state and federal level."
