2008: A Very Good Year!
Posted by Danae on Tuesday, January 08
2008 is going to be an exciting year for Virginia Democrats. To begin with, there's our presidential primary election on February 12!
Just THREE days before that date (FEBRUARY 9), thousands of Democrats, Independents and even some worn out Republicans will meet here in Richmond for our annual Jefferson-Jackson Dinner and Celebration! You'll want to hurry and get your tickets. They officially go on sale Wednesday (January 9) and you can get them online. GREAT NEWS this year! Tickets prices start at just $35. Click here for more details.
But there's even more going on this year. We're organizing a coordinated effort to accomplish some very specific goals in '08. We'd like to see Virginia deliver a Democratic president, win some Congressional seats, and elect Mark Warner to the United States Senate. We've got a truly excellent candidate in our former governor Mark Warner, and we're going to do everything we can to make sure he is elected.
2008 can be the year of a Blue Dominion. We can do it... TOGETHER! This is the start of an ongoing dialogue about how we do it. So stay tuned. It's going to be a very good year!
